This agreement is entered into between 613 Trailer Rentals (“Owner”) and the undersigned Renter. By signing this agreement, the Renter acknowledges responsibility for the rented equipment during the rental period and agrees to the following terms and conditions.

  1. Rental Period

The rental period begins at the agreed pickup time and ends at the scheduled return time. Equipment returned late may be subject to additional rental charges.

2. Eligibility

The Renter confirms they are at least 18 years of age and are legally capable of operating or transporting the rented equipment safely.

For trailer rentals, the Renter must present a valid driver’s license and a suitable tow vehicle.

3. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be required before the equipment is released.

The Owner may apply the deposit toward:

  • Damage
  • Theft or loss
  • Missing accessories
  • Excessive cleaning
  • Fuel shortages
  • Late return charges
  • Any unpaid rental fees

The Renter remains responsible for costs exceeding the deposit amount.

4. Equipment Condition

The Renter acknowledges that the equipment has been inspected and is received in good working order unless otherwise noted.

The Renter agrees to notify the Owner immediately if any defect or malfunction is discovered.

5. Proper Use

The equipment shall only be used:

  • for its intended purpose;
  • in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions;
  • by competent operators;
  • in a safe and lawful manner.

The Renter agrees not to modify, abuse, overload, or misuse the equipment.

6. Fuel, Oil & Maintenance

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Equipment shall be returned with the same fuel level as provided.
  • The Renter shall regularly check engine oil where applicable during extended rentals.
  • Equipment operated without adequate oil, coolant, lubrication or fuel resulting in damage is the responsibility of the Renter.

7. Responsibility During Rental

The Renter assumes full responsibility for the equipment from pickup until it is returned and accepted by the Owner.

The Renter is responsible for:

  • Damage
  • Theft
  • Vandalism
  • Loss
  • Fire
  • Negligence
  • Improper transportation
  • Weather-related damage occurring during the rental period

8. Liability Waiver

The Renter assumes all risks associated with the use, transportation and operation of the rented equipment.

613 Trailer Rentals shall not be liable for:

  • Personal injury
  • Death
  • Property damage
  • Loss of income
  • Delays
  • Consequential damages

arising from the use, misuse or failure of the equipment.

The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless 613 Trailer Rentals from any claims arising from the rental.

9. Trailer-Specific Requirements (Applies only to trailer rentals)

The Renter confirms their tow vehicle is equipped with:

  • Correct hitch size
  • Adequate towing capacity
  • Functional safety chains
  • Working electrical connector
  • Properly functioning trailer brakes where required

The Renter agrees not to exceed the trailer’s rated load capacity and will ensure all loads are properly secured.

10. Cleaning & Disposal

Equipment shall be returned reasonably clean.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Excessive dirt or concrete buildup
  • Wet concrete left in mixer drums
  • Asphalt residue
  • Paint or chemical contamination
  • Required disposal of trailer contents
  • Cleaning beyond normal use

11. Prohibited Use

The equipment shall not be used:

  • while impaired by drugs or alcohol;
  • for any unlawful purpose;
  • in any manner inconsistent with its intended use;
  • to transport hazardous or illegal materials (trailers);
  • by unauthorized operators.

12. Breakdown or Damage

If the equipment becomes damaged or malfunctions during the rental:

  • The Renter shall stop using it immediately.
  • The Owner must be contacted before any repairs are attempted.
  • Unauthorized repairs will not be reimbursed unless approved in writing.

13. Inspection Upon Return

All equipment will be inspected upon return.

Any damage, excessive wear, missing accessories, or cleaning required beyond normal use may result in additional charges.

14. Reservation Deposit

A 30% deposit is required to secure a reservation.

The deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled by the Renter.

Rescheduling may be permitted, subject to availability, at the sole discretion of 613 Trailer Rentals.

The remaining rental balance is due before the equipment is released

15. Acceptance

By signing this agreement, the Renter acknowledges that they:

  • have inspected the equipment;
  • understand its safe operation or have had the opportunity to ask questions;
  • accept full responsibility during the rental period; and
  • agree to all terms of this agreement.
